A Treat For You!

Good morning sweet ladies,

I bought Katie's book and I am now reading it. Yesterday my 11 and 13 year old granddaughters were with. We were looking on my pinterest and the girls saw the video I had pinned of Katie Davis' video. They wanted to listen to it, so we did. The youngest said, that she had always wanted to go to Africa to be a missionary. I had known that about Savannah, just hadn't given it much thought until now. I told her about Katie's book, she wanted one!!!!!!.I am buying it for the girls. I downloaded the kindle version yesterday. Now I know how to pray a little bit better for my little girls.

If Savannah wants to go the field.......we are going to see how the Lord wants to do that....... made her a Mission jar this morning......we will start adding to it today......and see what He does with it tomorrow!

This morning I knew would be my last morning of being on the farm to see the sunrise. I went to my kitchen window to check on the bird feeder. It is one of my favorite things to do......I guess it is the Alaskan in me. We always watched the birds at my Grandma's  log home when we were growing up. She would put seed out on the window sill. This morning Mr. Woodpecker was there......he flew up into the tree and I was able to capture him eating bugs. Thought you might like to see. He is beautiful and is around the old spruce tree all throughout the day.

Okay.......now for some fun. I have a little gift for you!!!!! I have been stitching and finally have the first stitchery done!!!!!!!! It is a free download! A Snowman Candle Cozy for a large candle in a jar (found at Walmart). Easy to make. You could get a head start on making gifts using this pattern for next year. You could have a box ready and start filling it with gifts. To download the e-pattern simply enter your name and email address into the new form you will find on the sidebar.

I also have a kit made up for you, if you would like to order one. Email me (found on the top sidebar of my blog) with the Snowman Candle Cozy Kit in the subject line. Each kit is $6.50 and $2.00 shipping. Inside each kit is all the fabric needed for the cozy, insulate batting, thread and ribbon. I can send an invoice for paypal or you can do money order or check, just email and I will send you out my addy! Easy!

I want to thank all of you for being a part of Prairie Flower Farm. You have been so much fun to have in my life this last year! I will continue to finish the other stitchery and will have more patterns throughout the year.

Hugs to your day!!!!!!!!

  1. Hi Linda,

I think that is so neat that your granddaughter wants to go to Africa. It will be neat to see what God does with that.

Thanks for the pattern for the candle cozy. That's really cute and sweet :) :)

Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  2. How wonderful that your Granddaughter feels the call from the Lord to visit Africa for mission work. Well-trained for the Lord's service! I love to watch the birds feeding. I did not get my feeders up at our new home. I miss them. Blessings!
